Last names...Last names...Last names

As entire world is one global village these days, people from different countries are exposed to different cultures. Different countries has different norms about their last names. For some people last name represents their father's name, for some mother's name and for some its just a family name that they carry.

Many countries citizens carry father's last name for their children even though some spanish community use two last names for their children (both parents). In USA too some parents naming their children with two last names (hyphenated into one Eg. Elijah Sadler-Moore). This might get complicated if next generation too decided to carry two names (they will end up in having four last names).

Its not always which last name parents want to give it to their children but many men are thinking of changing their last name to their wife's when they get married. Many USA states allow men to change their last names after marriage without going through laborious process which they have to go for last name change. Read USAtoday article on this
