Search family histories of Michigan, USA

The Michigan History, Arts & Libraries Department in support with The Leota and Talbert Abrams Foundation recently launched a "Seeking Michigan” Web site, seekingmichigan.org.

The site includes a growing collection of unusual historical information through digitized source documents, maps, films, images, oral histories and artifacts.

The site’s first major project is the digitization of about 1 million death records from 1897 to 1920. These records are indexed for easy searching by name, death date, location and age.

If you know any of your ancestors had some roots in Michigan, its time to search and find your luck.
